If photography is an explosive passion, we want to be the dynamite.
Since we opened in 2007, we have been working together with the creative community in Finland to produce, distribute, and understand photography in an innovative way. Photography is an art form that depends on a specific set of skills and tools. Contemporary photographers need the right combination of technology and knowhow to realize their visions. Our facilities provide them such an environment.
Our desire is to really be on the skin of photography. This requires us constantly to develop inventive and classic solutions for editing, printing, framing, mounting, binding and displaying. Furthermore, we help collectors in their choices with the same passion.
Our clients, artists and buyers, are welcome to follow directly the production process of the art work. This way there is a real exchange of knowhow between us and our clients. We aim to improve our creativity and our services in an endless spiral of exchanging knowledge.
We offer tailored services to photographers during their creative process and we continuously gather tools and professionals to favor the best technical solutions for their individual needs. Artists can carry through the entire process from production to showcase in our premises. For our buyers it is a real luxury to be able to follow the production process of the artwork from beginning to the end. Moreover, the whole production process is fully transparent. One of our biggest company values is completely transparent administration.
Mr Mikko Raatikainen founded Luova.fi in 1995. In 2007 Mr Andreas Heimsch joined in as an owner when the Gallery dedicated to contemporary photography opened the new space downtown Helsinki. The owners of the Gallery direct the main guidelines, while a team of workers and specialists manages production of artworks and public relations.
Luova.fi company includes a shop specialized on photography books for collectors, two workshop rooms for production of artworks and catalogues, and a space that is exclusively used for photographic exhibitions.
The Helsinki Center of Photography (www.hcp.fi) was founded in the nineties, inspired by the prestigious presence of intriguing artists. HCP and Luova.fi specialize on contemporary photographers. Furthermore they have organized together a series of workshops held by photographers such as Jussi Aalto, Elina Brotherus, Arno Rafael Minkkinen, Anders Petersen, Marja Pirilä and Timo Kirves. Their contribution is very important for the growth of the creative community.
Luova.fi is registered on the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland.
