Roxy Paine's industrious practice has consistently included drawing, from his New York Times Drawings of the early 1990s to the resultant products of his mechanized Drawing Machine (2001). Paine's latest series of works on paper, which will be presented in Marianne Boesky Gallery's booth (B10) at ADAA The Art Show 2014. The series offers a new approach to this practice where the artist has employed layered medium and mark-making, an engagement that in turn engenders a philosophical review of these drawings' visual content and their epistemological relevance.

The Armory Show
Solo presentation featuring
Serge Alain Nitegeka

Booth 604

March 6 - 9, 2014

Piers 92 & 94
(12th Avenue at 55th Street)

Public hours:
Thursday, March 6th - Sunday, March 9th | 12 - 7 pm

A paintor and sculptor, Serge Alain Nitegeka takes the minimalist preoccupation with line and the picture plane and poetically associates it with humanist notions of contemporary identity in flux. His large-scale, site-specific installations are highly demonstrative of this unique duality - they physically bisect three-dimensional space and use the viewer as a further disruptive variable, resulting in a tableau vivant of sorts, with the individual as both viewer and performer. As one of the art world's premier international events, the Armory Show brings together art, commerce, and dealers, collectors, artists, and connoisseurs from around the globe - the perfect venue to showcase Serge's vision, which has only been recently been presented outside of South Africa, and never in the United States.
