In his drawings, paintings and sculptural objects, which are always presented in an installative context Benjamin Bronni attempts to, question the room. His precisely constructed paintings achieve stagelike features by means of colour- reduced geometrical formation placed on top of each other that positively turn into abstract image spaces. In return the image space seems to expand into the real space when Benjamin Bronni transfers the sharp-edged geometrical objects of his abstract picture world as a theatrical spatial corporality into the exhibition room. There they achieve as oversized and unstably appearing constructions, whose parameter of room alters depending on the perspective and angle, an alarming but not placeable presence. Despite- or rather because of their straightforwardly mathematical precision Benjamin Bronni's coulisse-like installation views and pictures issue an entirely unreal space, whose desertedness attempts to stage the uncanny which is inherent in the geometrical worlds.
