Julie Hayward

Born 1968 in Salzburg/Austria
1987-1993 Acad. of Applied Arts, Vienna

Hayward´s objects are reminescent of elements of a domestic setting., cradles, chandeliers, or legs of children but their effects are much more far-reaching and not just oriented at the reality of a certain aspect of everyday life. The subconscious finds an almost constructive form. Images illustrate processes that generally cannot be grasped even organically.

Here they become tangible objects, apparatuses whose simulated functioning has more complex roots than mechanical gears and physical energy.
