After a successful collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, our Mark Rothko Rooms will return to the Fondation Beyeler in early November 2004. Our large central exhibition space has been chosen for this, the sixth reinstallation of the rooms, by guest curator Oliver Wick. Selected examples from every phase of Rothko's career, arranged in various sections of the space, will enter a compelling dialogue and reflect lines of development in concentrated form. In an adjacent cabinet, Rothko's ideas concerning perceptual spaces will be taken up.
